在兩種狀態中徘徊

一位婦人在河邊尋死，被路過的船夫搭救了，詢問原因，婦人說，因為丈夫猝逝，覺得沒有丈夫，活不下去了。船夫問：結婚了多久？婦人說：三年。船夫又問：沒結婚前，做什麼工作？婦人答：在村裏染布。船夫問：那時生活過得如何？婦人說：還算愜意。船夫說：那時也沒有丈夫，為何活得下去？婦人啞然。

船夫說：找回那個沒有結婚前的你吧，那時一個人，不也覺得快樂嗎？

這是在網頁上讀到的講佛理的故事，主要是勸諭人要懂得「放下」，因為人生沒有什麼東西是必需的，如果把擁有的東西看成必需，沒有的時候羨慕，有的時候恐懼失去，真的失去又覺得不甘，那麼無論是怎樣的人生，都苦。

的確，人的苦其實與「有」或「沒有」無關，而是跟執着有關。「有」會煩惱，「沒有」也煩惱；有也苦，沒有也苦。若能夠不執着，一切順其自然，得也泰然，失也安然。那樣的人生會比較快樂。

但可惜人的腦子裏有記憶，而記憶是洗不掉的。人的執着源自記憶，有記憶就無法真正回到從前，唐詩人元稹悼念亡妻的詩句是與上述故事相反的意念：

「曾經滄海難為水，除卻巫山不是雲。取次花叢懶回顧，半緣修道半緣君。」

經歷過滄海水、看過巫山雲的人，不再以其他地方的水雲為美。經過花叢也不回顧，一半原因是修道，另一半原因是沒有比你更好的「花叢」（他妻子叫惠叢）了。

從沒有得到過自由的奴隸，可以一世為奴；而一旦嚐過自由的滋味，那就寧死也不願意再做奴隸。從感情層面來說，人生正是在放下與放不下這兩種狀態中徘徊。

真的，半緣修道半緣君。

看清實相

小時候，住在荃灣的公共屋邨，有個鄰居叫花生明，比我大一歲，個子又高又胖，經常欺負其他小朋友。

花生明愛吃花生，不時把花生殼掉在我家門口。母親品性善良，從不投訴，只叫我用掃帚清理；當我忙着掃地時，花生明躲在一角偷笑，極之可惡。

某天黃昏，我家門口又出現花生殼，必定是花生明的傑作！我忍無可忍，拾起所有花生殼，擲到花生明的家門前。

我的報復行動，給三叔看見了。三叔沒有阻止，卻把我帶到公園，他邊走邊問：「氣消了嗎？」

「消了。」那時我只有十一歲，不愉快的事情轉眼便過。

我們在站在大樹下，三叔蹲下來，用三根枯枝砌成字母「Ｋ」。

「你看見甚麼？」三叔問。

「字母Ｋ。」我回答。

「很多時候，」三叔說：「我們看見的，不是實相，而是自己腦袋想像出來的。」

我不明白。

三叔續道：「這裏擺放的，明明是三根枯枝；字母Ｋ是你的想像。」

我似有所悟。

次天，花生明的家門前，仍舊有花生殼。向鄰居打聽，原來四天前，花生明一家往內地探親，還沒有回來。那就是說，我家門口的花生殼不是花生明棄置的。未等三叔開口，我便拿起掃帚。

管理員看見我清潔公眾地方，大讚我有服務精神。實相，真不易看清。

昨晚電視劇播出這歌，每次聽到都覺得歌者Bette Midler 的歌聲加上歌有震懾人的能力，每次聼到 intro 就會知道。

愛可以是河流，是刀鋒，是飢餓也是花朵，若要如何，全凴自己？
